Diane — Lehi

As a mother of three—Nikolai (9), Annika (8), and Kiko (2)—the Utah Fits All Scholarship has been a game changer for our family. Choice in education has allowed me to completely tailor learning to each child’s needs, and God-given design. Nikolai and Annika are advanced learners with unique interests and a deep curiosity for the world. Because of this scholarship, I haven’t had to force them into a one-size-fits-all box. Instead, we’ve created a customized education that is rigorous, joyful, and deeply aligned with our faith and values.

My children have had the opportunity to explore subjects far beyond the typical school curriculum. They’ve studied Chinese, learned to sew, and even trained in aerial silks—a blend of creativity, discipline, and physical fitness that fuels their confidence and expression. Most importantly, they’ve been able to participate in Bible Bee tutoring, where they’ve memorized thousands of Bible verses. This not only strengthens their minds but anchors their hearts in scripture—a priceless investment in their spiritual future.

Utah Fits All has allowed us to build an education around who they are, not just what a system dictates. We can pursue cross-curricular learning, nature-based exploration, and deep dives into subjects they love—like paleontology, coding, and languages. We’ve tapped into flexible, real-world learning environments: from rock climbing to robotics, independent reading to entrepreneurship.

The scholarship has opened doors to specialized tutors, high-quality materials, and niche programs we wouldn’t have otherwise accessed. It’s empowered us as parents to be fully involved in our children’s growth, academically and personally. Rather than pushing through worksheets, our children are building character, mastering life skills, and pursuing excellence in a way that prepares them for long-term success—intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.
